Physiotherapy Services

Physiotherapy is the use of purposeful activity for individuals who are limited by physical injury, illness, or ageing in order to maximize independence, prevent disability and maintain optimum health.

Physiotherapy services include:

  • Teaching daily living skills
  • Developing perceptual motor skills and sensory integrative functioning
  • Developing play skills and prevocational and leisure capacities
  • Designing, fabricating or applying selected orthotic and prosthetic devices or selective adaptive equipment using specifically designed crafts and exercises to enhance functional performance
  • Administering and interpreting tests such as manual muscle and range of movement
  • Adapting the environment for the handicapped

Hydrotherapy in our heated therapy pool is the only one available in private hospitals in Perak. The warm water assists pain and muscle spasms whilst buoyancy makes exercising weightless. This is especially beneficial as it allows freedom of movement which are difficult to achieve without water.

Hydrotherapy helps to:

  • Stimulate the digestion and circulation
  • Boost immune system
  • Relieve pain
