Neurosurgical services in Hospital Fatimah is complemented by a dedicated operating theatre suite and a neurosurgical ward with a High Dependency Unit facility. In addition to this, critical care facilities (CCU) are also available to manage acute and seriously ill patients with neurosurgical disorders.

- including management of severe and poly-traumatised / patients
- facilities for multimodality monitoring (eg Intracranial Pressure (ICP))
- Brain, nerve and spinal tumours
- removal of superficial or deeply located tumours using computer assisted surgery / stereotactic frame
- Stroke
- removal of haematoma either via craniotomy or minimal access / stereotactic aspiration
- Degenerative spinal problems
- radiculopathy or myelopathy
- fusion and instrumentation
- Paediatric problems
- spina bifida with myelomeningocele
- shunting for hydrocephalus
- Infections
- brain abscess (stereotactic aspiration or craniotomy)
- Endoscopic and computer assisted surgery
- for intraventricular tumours, pituitary tumours, large / complex brain tumours and haemorrhagic strokes.
